Keyboard shortcuts can speed up the CAD process a ton. While it takes time to implement into your CAD practice, it is highly recommended. For an extensive list of all shortcuts click Shift + ? (the “+” symbol in this document indicates pressing in addition to the previous key).

Shortcuts in order of what will likely be used most to least often (start implementing from the top of this list and work your way down):

Control/Command + Z = undo

N = normal view (cannot have any parts, edges, or vertices selected)

D = dimension (toggle; clicking again will exit dimension mode)

Y = hide part (to show click the eye symbol next to the part in the part list below the feature tree)

C = center circle

G = corner to corner rectangle

R = center rectangle

L = line

Q = construction (toggle; if a sketch is already made of construction lines this will turn them into solid lines and vice versa)

Shift + X = section view (can select faces, planes, or selecting a cylindrical surface will section right down the middle)

M = trim (can select or drag mouse across multiple lines)

X = extend (cannot extend splines)

O = offset (cannot offset splines; all lines must be connected)

U = use (super helpful just be careful because changing referenced parts will break used features)

T = tangent constraint

I = coincident constraint

H = horizontal constraint
