Getting Started with FDM (Prusa, Lulzbot, Bambu)
How to Print
Follow the steps below to get printing on the Prusas!
- Download Prusa Slicer (Available for Mac, Windows, Linux)
- Open the app and pick the type of printer you are going to use — in this, case we will be using the Prusa Mini. When prompted for the settings make sure to choose 0.4mm as the nozzle diameter

- Click the add object button and add the object you want to print (best to select a downloaded STL file for your 3D print)

- Once your STL is added to the canvas select the amount of supports you would like to add to your print
- Tips for adding supports 👀
- Select the infill — infill refers to density of the internal structure of the object (20%+ infill will make your object heavier and stronger while lower infills will make your object lighter and less sturdy; DO NOT go below 10% infill)
- After you finished all these steps, select “Slice Now”!

- You will then be given “Slicer Info” that indicates how long the printer will take, how much filament will be used, etc.

- Take a flashdrive and plug it into your computer
- Click “Export G-Code” and save it onto the SD card or flashdrive
