Forge is a student-led initiative of the Sherman Center here to help students learn about product development and entrepreneurship through hands-on project experience and tailored workshops. As a part of Forge, students solve problems in our community by developing solutions that make a lasting impact and develop skills through an engaging workshop and speaker series.
Generate is Northeastern's student-led product development studio. Generate empowers innovative ventures by helping them move from one stage of the product development cycle to the next.
Unique, self-driven co-op that challenges students to develop their ventures over the course of a six-month co-op period, while being paid to do so. Success of the venture concept is not the goal of this co-op. Rather, the development of the entrepreneur (i.e. experiencing the good, bad and ugly of entrepreneurship) is. The venture concept is merely a tool for that development.
Undergraduate academic minor focused on the product development lifecycle, with all courses available to take for both Undergraduate and Graduate students as electives. Course instructors have real industry experience and Generate members have the option to use Generate to fulfil 1 minor course.
Mosaic is an alliance of entrepreneurially-spirited people who share a passion for building and leading new products, programs, and organizations.
Mosaic offers services that allow the community to share their work experiences, meet informally and in-person in multiple cities, and exchange ideas and content on critical topics facing their companies and/or careers as builders and leaders.

While technically not a student-run organization, the IP CO-LAB law clinic is an integral part of the Mosaic community. Under the guidance of its director and support staff, the Clinic’s student Members provide vital trademark, copyright and trade secret legal services to two “universes” of clients: inventors and ventures within Northeastern’s entrepreneurial ecosystem (any current or former NEU student, faculty member or staff member is eligible) and a limited number of local individuals and entities who are otherwise unable to afford IP-related legal assistance.
